Genova Burns LLC, the New Jersey based law firm Genova Burns is pleased to announce the addition of David A. De Simone, Esq. as Of Counsel to the firm. De Simone, an experienced healthcare attorney, will provide business strategy solutions and transactional experience to the firm across industries.
David has served as chief legal counsel and chief strategy officer for integrated healthcare systems throughout New Jersey. Along with his new role at the firm, David serves as Chief Counsel and Compliance Officer for Ohio Living, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit aging services organizations.
David was named a finalist by NJBIZ for the Healthcare General Counsel of the Year Award in 2017 and 2018. He works alongside in-house counsel, C-Suite leaders, medical leaders, and CEOs to develop health system initiatives while assisting with compliance and strategy challenges.
Mr. De Simone has created innovative joint venture structures for health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, long-term care facilities, physical therapy, and physician practices. He is a past member of the Program Committee of the Physician and Hospital Institute of the American Health Law Association (AHLA), a Co-Chair of AHLA’s Accountable Care Organization Task Force and a participant on the wage task force and property tax task force of the New Jersey Hospital Association.
