Gottheimer Caves to Pelosi and Votes Yes on Impeachment Inquiry

Montvale, NJ– The Ghassali for Congress campaign released the following statement on today’s House impeachment vote.

“After weeks of hiding from his constituents on the impeachment issue, Josh Gottheimer has finally decided to take a stand, by supporting Nancy Pelosi and AOC’s resolution to impeach the President.

Speaker Pelosi claimed that impeachment should be a bi-partisan effort, but she passed this resolution entirely along party lines. For someone who claims to be a centrist and above the fray, Josh has gone all in with the most extreme elements of his party by furthering this political witch hunt.

Voters in New Jersey’s 5th Congressional district sent Josh to Washington to do his job and deliver for his constituents. It is abundantly clear that his only accomplishments have been to raise record amounts of money from DC insiders and to cower to political bosses when they need votes. We deserve better.”
