Glen Rock Elects First Democratic Woman Mayor

Glen Rock has elected its first Democratic woman mayor, Kristine Morieko. Kristine is a lifelong Glen Rock resident and currently serves as Borough Council President. She is a criminal law paralegal and the mother of six-year-old twins. Kristine was elected along with Teresa Gilbreath and Rob Dill who ran for Glen Rock’s two open Council seats.

Kristine shares, “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to serve as the second woman mayor of Glen Rock, and I’m proud to follow the path paved by the elected women of Glen Rock who have come before me.” Kristine acknowledges that as a woman with a young family, deciding to run for mayor came with unique challenges, but it was a decision that she is so glad she made. With her husband and children standing by her, she is excited to continue serving Glen Rock in this new capacity.

“Thank you to my campaign team and my co-candidates for their efforts and dedication to serving the residents of Glen Rock,” Kristine says, “And thank you to the residents of Glen Rock for your support. Glen Rock is my past, my present, and my future, and I am honored to have the opportunity to be the mayor of our incredible community.”
