GOP Dominates in Monmouth County

COLTS NECK, NJ – With huge wins at the County level and 3 legislative districts, the
Monmouth Republican Party had a decisive victory on election night. At the top of the County
ticket, Sheriff Shaun Golden won by over a 20 point margin. The G.O.P. County Freeholder
candidates, Tom Arnone and Nick DiRocco, dominated as well.

On the local level, Republicans took control in Neptune City, Eatontown, and Atlantic
Highlands, and flipped Mayor seats to GOP in Sea Bright and Spring Lake Heights. The
Republicans beat back challenges in Belmar, Hazlet and Shrewsbury Borough to keep every seat
Republican, and crushed the anti-law enforcement Democrats in Middletown, the largest
municipality in the County, with a 2 to 1 margin. In all, the GOP won 64 seats, sweeping in
Wall, Manalapan, Freehold Township, Union Beach, Millstone, Rumson, Brielle, Little Silver,
Interlaken, Sea Girt, Englishtown, West Long Branch, Upper Freehold Township, West Long
Branch, Colts Neck, Little Silver, Rumson, Sea Girt.

“I am so proud of the work we have done at the county, municipal and assembly level to keep
and win seats solidly in Republican hands, said Golden, “We have worked our hardest to keep
Monmouth County a beautiful, safe and affordable place to live, work and raise a family.”
