Speaker Kevin McCarthy is rewarding his loyal foot soldier, increasingly vulnerable Tom Kean Jr. for his blind loyalty to the extreme MAGA Republican agenda with a lofty fundraiser in New Jersey tonight. 

Tom Kean Jr. – who has put New Jerseyans’ jobs and freedoms at risk after just six months in Congress – has paid his dues for McCarthy, taking extreme votes on dangerous spending cuts, punishing abortion care providers, and protecting serial fraudster George Santos. 

Tom Kean Jr. is not only loyal to his MAGA Speaker, but also the twice-impeached, federally-indicted ex-president, as he cowardly stayed silent on Trump’s call to defund law enforcement.

McCarthy is buttering Kean Jr. up now to keep him loyal as MAGA Republicans push a reckless agenda when the House returns, including cutting Social Security and Medicare, voting to pass a nationwide abortion ban, and forcing a government shutdown.
