Gottheimer Helps Break Ground on New Valley Hospital

PARAMUS, NJ – Today, November 1, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer helped break ground on Valley Hospital’s new, modern facility, alongside local, state, and federal New Jersey leaders, Valley Health leaders, and the hardworking women and men of labor.

“I am excited about the potential for Valley’s new, modern hospital to transform care for our residents and bolster our economy by supporting local businesses and bringing good jobs to northern New Jersey,”

said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Today’s groundbreaking is a huge moment and reinforces my District and New Jersey as the leading life sciences center of the world.”

The seven-story, state-of-the-art, 362-bed plan is anticipated to be completed by 2023, and the construction of the facility will create 600 good paying jobs in North Jersey.

Elected officials joining Gottheimer today included Senator Robert Menendez, Congressman Bill Pascrell, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, Bergen County Executive James Tedesco, Paramus Mayor Richard LaBarbiera, New Jersey State Senators and Assemblymembers, and Bergen County Freeholders.
