Gottheimer Hosts 45th “Cup of Joe with Josh” Town Hall, Answers Questions and Discusses Issues with Constituents in Northvale
NORTHVALE, NJ – On Sunday, December 8, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) held his 45th “Cup of Joe with Josh” Town Hall at the Northvale Classic Diner in Northvale. Dozens of Fifth District residents joined the discussion with Gottheimer about everything from reinstating the SALT and charitable tax deduction to provide actual tax cuts for our hardworking families, delivering transparency for parents of lead water test results from their children’s schools, to lowering out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs, and his work with the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus.
“I’d like to sincerely thank the Northvale Classic Diner for welcoming us and I’m grateful for all the Fifth District residents who came to share their thoughts and ask questions about the issues on their minds,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Hearing from the folks I represent all around North Jersey is an essential part of my ability to best represent their interests back in Congress. I’m always appreciative of the opportunity to answer questions and engage with North Jersey residents to discuss what’s concerning them most.”
Gottheimer continued, “I will continue to fight for common sense solutions on the issues we discussed, including keeping our air and water clean, cutting taxes, investing in our crumbling infrastructure, lowering our health care costs, and standing up for our first responders and our military veterans. I’m going to take the concerns I heard this week to inform my work in Washington fighting for the Fifth District.”
