Gottheimer Hosts Coronavirus Telephone Town Hall with Fifth District Constituents

GLEN ROCK, NJ – On Thursday, March 19, 2020, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) hosted a Telephone Town Hall with North Jersey health officials and local leaders to answer questions from Fifth District residents and discuss steps being taken to combat the spread of the coronavirus and to help keep North Jersey safe.

“My Telephone Town Hall this week allowed me to connect with tens of thousands of Fifth District constituents to address their concerns about the Coronavirus and what I’m doing to combat this outbreak, to help ensure our hospitals have the resources they need, to increase testing, and to support our communities and local businesses impacted by this public health crisis, ” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “This virus does not see gender, religion, race, or political party. Right now, more than ever, we must come together as a community and as a country.”

Gottheimer was joined by Holy Name Medical Center’s Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Adam Jarrett, MD; New Jersey State Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg; Town of Belvidere Mayor Joe Kennedy; Town of Newton Mayor Sandra Diglio; and Bergen County Superintendent of Schools Louis DeLisio.
