FAIR LAWN, NJ – On Monday, February 10, 2020, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) joined second and third graders at Westmoreland Elementary School in Fair Lawn as they created Valentines cards to be sent to veterans across North Jersey.

The Valentines for Veterans program connects students across the Fifth District and Northern New Jersey to the community’s brave military veterans. There are 26,139 veterans in New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District and over 437,000 across the Garden State.

Gottheimer also encourages Fifth District residents to show their appreciation for local veterans by dropping their own Valentines cards off at Gottheimer’s offices in Glen Rock and Newton.

“We must always have the backs of those who have had ours,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “The Valentines for Veterans program gives everyone across the Fifth District the opportunity to show our gratitude for those veterans who put their lives on the line to defend our freedoms.”
