GOTTHEIMER LAUNCHES DOCTORS FOR JOSH
WYCKOFF, N.J. – On Friday, United States Congressman Josh Gottheimer officially launched “Doctors for Josh,” with a virtual conversation featuring Rep. Gottheimer and around 20 doctors from across the Fifth District. The conversation was facilitated by Dr. Stavros Christoudias, a general surgeon from Franklin Lakes and focused on the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and continuing to address New Jersey’s doctor shortage.
“I am deeply honored to have the support of so many of our front line health care heroes. Over the past six months, our nation has witnessed the heroism so many of our doctors have shown in confronting the COVID crisis. This has been particularly true here in North Jersey, where we have been in the eye of the storm. In Congress, I will continue doing everything I can to support doctors and make sure they have all the resources they need,” said Rep. Gottheimer.
“During the COVID-19 crisis, it has become clearer than ever that we need qualified and capable leaders like Josh Gottheimer for our communities. In Washington, Josh has worked hard to get doctors and health care professional the PPE they need and has advocated for making it easier for medical students to study in New Jersey. At home, he is a leader who is constantly out in his District, hearing what his constituents need and how he can help. My colleagues and I are proud to support him for reelection to Congress,” said Dr. Stavros Christoudias, MD FACS, Board Chair, New Jersey Doctor-Patient Alliance.
First elected in 2016, Congressman Josh Gottheimer proudly represents New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District, which includes 79 towns in Bergen, Passaic, Sussex and Warren Counties. By bringing people together, fighting for lower taxes and affordable health care, and standing up for Jersey Values, Josh is getting things done for our families and our country.
