Gottheimer Named Most Bipartisan Freshman Dem by Lugar Center

WASHINGTON — Today, the Lugar Center, led by former U.S. Senator Richard Lugar, and the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University named Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) as the most bipartisan Democratic freshman Member of Congress based on their newly released Bipartisan Index (BPI) Rankings for 2017.

Today, Gottheimer also received the US Chamber of Commerce’s Spirit of Enterprise Award in Paramus for his work to enact pro-growth policies.

“I’m proud to be named the most bipartisan freshman Democrat in the 115th Congress, especially on the day the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is also awarding me the Spirit of Enterprise Award for helping businesses grow in New Jersey. As Co-Chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus, I believe no one side owns all the best answers, so I’ll continue fighting for New Jersey with a common sense approach to cutting taxes, investing in infrastructure, and eliminating bureaucratic red tape,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5).
