Architect of Subprime Mortgage Crisis, Millions of Seniors & Veterans Lost Homes
WYCKOFF, N.J. — Today, October 28, 2022, Josh Gottheimer released a television ad highlighting “Far-Right Frank” Pallotta’s extremism and his involvement in the subprime mortgage crisis, which ripped off millions of veterans and seniors. This campaign is about commonsense bipartisan problem solving versus extremism. Frank Pallotta supports the domestic terror group that attacked the U.S. Capitol and police on January 6, the Oath Keepers, and will take away a woman’s right to choose with no exceptions. Gottheimer is a bipartisan problem solver who is supported by law enforcement.
Script: (Narrator) The Star-Ledger calls Pallotta flat out dangerous. Fraudster Frank ripped off veterans and seniors in a financing scam. So extreme, Pallotta calls abortion manslaughter and praised a domestic terrorist group as good people. Josh Gottheimer is ranked the most bipartisan member of Congress. (Gottheimer) I passed a new law to fund our local police. I’m fighting to cut taxes and for an all in energy plan that will lower gas prices. I work with both Democrats and Republicans for one simple reason, I work for you. I’m Josh Gottheimer and I approve this message.
Extremist Pallotta has repeatedly taken an anti-choice stance and has called abortion manslaughter, even in cases of rape or incest. He supports the Human Life Amendment to make abortion illegal with no exceptions, even for the life of the mother, and to criminalize in vitro fertilization (IVF). Extremist Pallotta called the domestic terror group that attacked the U.S. Capitol and law enforcement on January 6th, the Oath Keepers, “good people” who he “stands by.” Fraudster Frank Pallotta spent his career pushing fraudulent subprime mortgage schemes, tanking our economy, led us into a recession, and caused millions of seniors, veterans, and families to lose their homes.
Gottheimer, Co-Chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, helped craft and pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill to fix our crumbling roads and bridges, delivered critical resources for our police, veterans, and small business, and has always fought to protect a woman’s right to choose. Gottheimer’s bipartisan, bicameral Invest to Protect Act recently passed the House with overwhelming bipartisan support to ensure that local police departments have what they need to recruit and retain the finest officers, to provide necessary training, and to invest in mental health resources for officers. Gottheimer will continue his work to lower taxes, cut the debt, reduce prescription drugs prices, and make life more affordable for families in North Jersey.
Gottheimer has earned the endorsement of the New Jersey State Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association (NJSPBA), the New Jersey State Troopers Fraternal Association (STFA), and the National Troopers Coalition (NTC), and the the Port Authority Police Benevolent Association (PAPBA).
Gottheimer was named the most bipartisan Democrat in the House of Representatives for the third year by the Lugar Center at Georgetown University.
