Gottheimer Releases Radio Ad Against the MTA’s Congestion Tax
Urges NJ Residents to Submit Comments
NORTH JERSEY — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) released a radio ad to inform North Jersey residents how to submit comments to the MTA about their proposed Congestion Tax, which would cost drivers up to $23 dollars a day — more than $5,000 a year. That’s on top of the already far-too-high $16-a-day tolls for our bridges and tunnels, just to drive south of 60th Street to work in New York City from Jersey.
Members of the public can submit comments to the MTA opposing the Congestion Tax before September 23, 2022 to make their voices heard. Typed and recorded video comments can be emailed to CBDTP@dot.gov or submitted at https://mta-nyc.custhelp.com/app/cbd_tolling

Hi, this is your Congressman, Josh Gottheimer.
I’m here to let you know that New York wants to charge you a new congestion tax every time you drive into Manhattan.
Per the MTA’s own report, it will cost you up to twenty three dollars a day – on top of what you already pay in tolls for the bridges or tunnels.
This is unacceptable.
