Gottheimer Statement on Biden-Harris COVID-19 Relief Proposal

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) released the following statement on the new Biden-Harris COVID-19 relief proposal:

“The bipartisan, bicameral COVID-19 emergency relief bill we helped pass in December played a critical role in helping fighting the pandemic. As we said then, it was a down payment. I’m still reviewing the details, but, hopefully, tonight’s proposal from President-elect Biden will take us the distance — until every family is finally vaccinated. It includes critical relief for our families and small businesses, support for our state and local governments, including our firefighters, law enforcement, and teachers, and critical resources for vaccine distribution. I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues in the House and Senate to find a bipartisan path forward.”
