Greenstein, Benson & DeAngelo on Passing of Former Hamilton Mayor and Assemblyman Jack Rafferty

(TRENTON) – Senator Linda Greenstein, Assemblyman Daniel Benson and Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo (all D-Mercer, Middlesex) released the following joint statement on the passing of Jack Rafferty, who served as mayor of Hamilton for 24 years and represented the 14th legislative district as an Assemblyman for two years:

“Jack Rafferty was the only mayor a whole generation of Hamilton residents ever knew. His witty sense of humor, warm-hearted nature and tremendous pride in his town made him a true man of the people. He will be remembered as Hamilton’s first ‘full-time’ mayor, redefining the role for his successors, and never swaying from his firm commitment to bettering his community.

“Our thoughts are with the Rafferty family and the residents of Hamilton at this difficult time.”
