Trenton – Senator Linda Greenstein issued the following statement on the Senate advancing legislation she sponsored which would provide tax breaks of $500 to middle class families in New Jersey:

“New Jersey families are facing an uphill battle as they work to regain their financial footing. With so much uncertainty as to what’s ahead, I’m proud we will be able to provide relief for some 800,000 New Jersey families. This is the toughest budget process we have ever experienced, and still we held fast to our priorities and continued to invest in crucial social services and programs to help families keep food on the table.

“Easing the financial burden placed on middle class families was imperative, and this $500 tax rebate will alleviate financial strains by helping them to make ends meet.”
