Greenwald on Newly Announced Bi-State Initiative to Tackle Gun Trafficking Across NJ/PA Borders

(TRENTON) –  Assemblyman Louis Greenwald (D- Camden, Burlington) issued the following statement on the “PA/NJ Gun Trafficking Initiative” announced by Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal and Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro:

“Gun trafficking is one of the major sources driving the gun violence we’ve seen throughout the country. To end the violence, we have to slow the exchange of illegal firearms. It is also imperative that we work together with neighboring states to accomplish this goal.

“I applaud the announcement of the PA/NJ Gun Trafficking Initiative will take on the pipeline of illegal weapons flowing across state lines and facilitate getting more guns off our streets. This is exactly the collaboration warranted to stem gun violence and better protect or communities.”
