HACO Partners with the City of Orange to Host COVID Vaccination Clinic
ORANGE, NJ – March 29, 2021, – On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, Essex County will provide
150 vaccination shots to the City of Orange Housing Authority (HACO) residents through the
Johnson and Johnson Vaccine Pilot program. Partnering with the City of Orange, HACO will
host this event at the Washington Manor Complex in Orange, NJ from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.
HACO is taking plenty of safety precautions to maintain a healthy community. By updating
emergency contact information, limiting visitation, sanitizing public areas, performing daily
wellness checks, and mandating a city-wide curfew and social distancing orders, both
organizations are putting their community and residents first.
With a digital thermometer and face mask policy, HACO has been able to control traffic and the
spread of a deadly virus in their complexes upon entrance. Pre-registration for COVID
vaccinations have been conducted over the past month. Appointments have been set for the 150
registered residents looking to protect themselves from the deadly coronavirus.
COVID-19 hit the scene in late February of 2020, causing record breaking deaths across the
world. While many countries have been able to recover well from the virus, the United States
has a rough time decreasing numbers in certain states. With New Jersey as one of the crucial
states, HACO has taken extreme measure to contain the virus in their environment.
