HealthCare Institute of New Jersey statement on CDC vaccine advisory panel

Trenton, June 10, 2025 ― Chrissy Buteas, President and Chief Executive Officer of the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ – www.hinj.org), issued the following statement concerning yesterday’s announcement of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) reconstitution of the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP):

“Vaccines remain one of humanity’s most critical defenses against deadly viral and bacterial infections.  Diseases and viruses that used to ravage and destabilize societies, economies and nations have been tamed or even eradicated by vaccines.”

Buteas continued, “New Jersey’s life sciences have been at the forefront of that effort for nearly 150 years.  We will continue working with all stakeholders – from patient groups and medical professionals to federal and state regulatory agencies – to continue serving as a pillar of our modern public health system by discovering new, life-saving treatments, vaccines and cures.”
