Healthgrades Names Community Medical Center One of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Surgical Care
Toms River, NJ – December 7, 2022 –Community Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, announced that for a second year in a row (2022-2023), it is one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Surgical Care, according to new research released by Healthgrades, the leading marketplace connecting doctors and patients. This achievement reflects Community Medical Center’s outstanding clinical outcomes for surgical care and puts Community Medical Center in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for surgical care. Community Medical Center is the only hospital in New Jersey to earn a Surgical Care Excellence Award in 2023.

Earlier this year, Healthgrades named Community Medical Center as one of only 17 hospitals nationwide to receive all three Women’s Care Excellence Awards for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Labor and Delivery, and Gynecological Surgery. This year’s analysis revealed significant variation in patient outcomes between America’s 50 Hospitals for Surgical Care and hospitals that did not receive this distinction.
