Hoboken Democratic Committee Elects Joe Quintero as New Chair

The Hoboken Democratic Committee elected Joe Quintero Party Chair on Sunday April 14th. Joe Quintero was first elected to the Hoboken Democratic Committee in 2019 and has served four years as a member of the Executive Committee; he also serves as a Councilman-at-Large for the City of Hoboken.

In a statement, Chairman Quintero said, “I’m honored to have the confidence and trust of my fellow Committee members and I thank them for the privilege of serving as Chair. I have some big shoes to fill in taking on this leadership position, Rachel Hodes is not only a dear friend of mine, but she was literally the person who first helped me, as she has helped so many others, get involved in Hoboken politics.”

“My vision for our party is to work from the ground up, meeting our voters where they are, so we can more effectively promote our Democratic values, advocate for liberal issues, and get Democrats elected in all facets for government. Right now we have a great opportunity to activate our Hoboken Democratic base and I believe the best way to do that is by increasing our presence locally.

Ultimately, we have a lot to do over the next few months as we work to get our endorsed candidates, Ravi Bhalla and Andy Kim, over the top in securing Democratic nominations for the House and Senate on June 4^th. After June, we’ll look to re-elect Joe Biden, retain the Democratic majority in the Senate, and take back the House of Representatives from the do-nothing, dysfunctional Republicans.”

The first major event of Chairman Quintero’s tenure will be the partnering with the Bhalla for Congress Campaign as they prepare the grand opening of their campaign office in Hoboken. The grand opening is scheduled for noon on April 20 at 331 Grand Street, Hoboken NJ 07030.
