Holland Gardens Residents Endorse James Solomon For Re-Election

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Citing his commitment to fighting for tenants’ rights and affordability, Holland Gardens residents  Danielle Walker, Julia Shivermuse, Muslimah Mays, Tysheda Matthews, and Keisha Ellerbe endorsed James Solomon for reelection today. Solomon has made affordability a core piece of his agenda, and earlier in the campaign released a comprehensive housing plan to ensure downtown can be a place for everyone.

James Solomon said: “I am proud to be endorsed by this incredible group of leaders as we fight to make sure tenants are protected downtown. Downtown needs to be affordable, safe and welcoming and working with them I know we can make our community even better.”

Muslimah Mays: “As a resident of Holland Gardens for over 15 yrs, not once have I ever met or seen a Councilman or Mayor step foot in Holland Gardens or be as active as James Soloman. He walks amongst us, listens, and truly cares for my overlooked community. I can personally call, text or email him about my housing issues, and he always answers and resolves them each and every time. He has become part of our Ward E family and I fully endorse James Solomon, he’s my brother in politics fighting for what’s right!”

Tysheda Matthews: “Councilman Solomon is honest, balanced, committed, and experienced! Not to mention a man of his word….this is why he has my vote on November 2nd! I hope he has yours too!”

Keisha Ellerbe: “James Solomon is a man of his word and is a person I can trust to represent the residents of Holland Gardens”

Solomon has been endorsed by HTC, 32BJ SEIU, Our Revolution, the Working Families Party, and scores of parents, advocates, small business owners and more.
