Holzapfel Recognized as “Outstanding Family Advocate” by the Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey
The Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey released their annual report card ranking all of New Jersey’s 120 Legislators. Senator Jim Holzapfel was recognized as an “Outstanding Family Advocate”, with a 100%, perfect score for the 2020-2021 legislative session. The organization, which is founded in the core belief of protecting and strengthening traditional family values, constructed the scorecard based on the legislator’s voting record on bills that address conservative issues.
“In recent years we have watched how the Democrats have pushed through legislation to support their progressive agenda under the guise of diversity and tolerance,” stated Senator Holzapfel. “I will always stand for the rights of parents and fight to protect our children’s innocence. It is important to me that as New Jerseyans we honor our family values and my voting record will always reflect that.”
Senator Holzapfel voted against legislation related to educational mandates for elementary school students on transgenderism and sexual orientation. In addition, he voted NO on the bill which would allow the legal right to abort a child up to the moment of birth.
Shawn Hyland, the Director of Advocacy, Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey commended the Senator for his voting record in support of conservative values. “Senator Holzapfel has been a leading voice for parental rights in education for years,” said Mr. Hyland. “We greatly appreciate his bold leadership to vote for the conservative values of the families in District 10. Parents of school age children are represented well by his outspoken advocacy on their behalf. Thank you, Senator Holzapfel, for being one of the outstanding family advocates in Trenton.”
“For too long our state has been controlled by the Democrats and Governor Murphy who impose their liberal agendas and force our residents and their children to adopt and affirm these lifestyles, regardless of their individual beliefs,” Senator Holzapfel said. “I will continue to support the conservative values by which our state was founded on.”
