Hotel & Gaming Trades Council Backs Team Emily in Hoboken
Hoboken - The Hotel and Gaming Trades Council (HTC) has announced its endorsement of Emily Jabbour for Hoboken Mayor, as well as Team Emily council candidates Joe Quintero, Steve Firestone, and Caitlyn Layson.
HTC President Rich Maroko said: “Emily and Joe have been great friends to working people during their time on the City Council, and we are proud to support them and their new teammates in this election. Emily is a proven leader, which is what Hoboken needs right now in these troubled times.”
Hoboken Mayoral Candidate Emily Jabbour said: “I am honored to have the support of the Hotel Trades Union and the hardworking members they represent across Hoboken. Hoboken’s service and hospitality workers are the backbone of our local economy, and I am committed to ensuring they have a strong voice and advocate in City Hall. As Mayor, I will continue to fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and affordable housing for all those who help make our city a vibrant and welcoming place.”
HTC represents hotel, club, racetrack, and casino workers in a region which includes NYC, Northern New Jersey, and Upstate New York.
