Housing & Community Development Network of NJ Congratulates Rose Farias on Appointment to Lead NJ Redevelopment Authority

TRENTON – The Housing & Community Development Network of New Jersey today congratulated Rose Farias on her appointment as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority (NJRA) and expressed deep appreciation to outgoing President and Chief Executive Officer Leslie A. Anderson for her decades of service to New Jersey’s community development sector.

“Rose Farias has been a strong and effective partner in advancing policies that expand opportunity and strengthen communities across New Jersey,” said Staci Berger, president and chief executive officer of the Network. “During her time in the Legislature, we were proud to work alongside her to enact critical initiatives, including foreclosure prevention efforts, equitable Superstorm Sandy recovery, and securing essential resources for lead poisoning prevention. Her leadership and commitment to equity and community-centered solutions will serve NJRA and the state well.”

Farias has also been an engaged partner with the Network, serving as a panelist at the organization’s first-ever Healthy Homes and Communities Summit and participating in several Under One Roof conferences, where she shared her expertise and perspective on advancing healthy, equitable communities.

The Network also extended its gratitude to Leslie A. Anderson for her long-standing leadership at NJRA and her enduring impact on community development in New Jersey.

“Leslie Anderson’s tenure at NJRA has helped shape and strengthen redevelopment efforts in communities across the state,” said Berger. “We are deeply grateful for her leadership and partnership over the years and wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.”

Anderson’s contributions to New Jersey’s community development field were recognized by the Network at its 30th Anniversary Celebration, honoring her commitment to advancing equitable redevelopment and neighborhood revitalization.

The Housing & Community Development Network of New Jersey looks forward to continuing its partnership with NJRA under Farias’ leadership to support investment in communities, expand access to affordable housing, and advance equitable development across the state.
