As we near Election Day in some of the most important races in our state’s history, it is important to make our choices clear on candidates who best represent us and who will fight for women and working people in our legislature. In New Jersey Legislative District 39 races, HPAE recognizes such candidates:

• Ruth Dugan – Senate
• Melinda J. Iannuzzi – Assembly
• Karlito A. Almeda – Assembly

These candidates have proven records of accomplishment that put them squarely on the sides of voters in LD39. Dugan, for instance, is a business executive who has fought to support nurses and healthcare workers, including helping to save Bayonne Medical Center when it was headed for bankruptcy, throughout her career.

And, in the Assembly races, Demarest Mayor Iannuzzi and Almeda, a legislative aide to former Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, will work for voters in the district.
