Hudson County Democratic Organization Officially Awards Ballot Line to Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate 

JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Hudson County Democratic Organization is officially announcing that it will formally award its ballot line in the upcoming June Primary for U.S. Senate to Tammy Murphy. The HCDO is composed of over 1,000 democratically elected county committee members, municipal chairs, elected officials and officers. HCDO Chairman Anthony Vainieri was among the first county chairs to endorse the Murphy campaign in November, and now the organization will submit letters to officially bracket its candidates with her campaign to become the first woman to represent New Jersey in the U.S. Senate.

“Since announcing her campaign for U.S. Senate, Tammy Murphy has proven that she’s the best candidate to represent Hudson County and to fight for the values our party believes in,” said Chairman Vainieri. “In consultation with our Mayors, state legislative leaders, municipal chairs and Democratic leaders, the HCDO is united in supporting Tammy Murphy and ready to work hard to get out the vote for her and our entire team. We need a strong Democrat like Tammy Murphy who has what it takes to stand up and fight for our residents, and Hudson County will do whatever it takes to make sure that she and our entire team are victorious in June.”

The HCDO is currently collecting signed nominating petitions for its endorsed candidates and will be filing them in the coming days.
