The Hudson County Latino Foundation to Host A Facebook Live Event on the Recent Supreme Court Case on DACA 

The foundation hopes to inform the local Latino community 

how this court case on DACA will impact them

            

Hudson County, New Jersey – August 15th, 2020 — The Hudson County Latino Foundation is hosting a Facebook Live event to discuss the latest Supreme Court case on DACA and how it impacts current and future DACA members. The event will be moderated by Chairwoman, Vanessa Trinidad. Other panelists will include Trevor Jadoo, HCLF’s immigration assistance program director, who will be answering legal questions regarding the current case.

Also attending are Jose Balda, Director of Admissions at New Jersey City University (NJCU) and Robert Macauley, Director of Financial Aid. The event will also have three NJCU DACA students, who will shed light on the issue from their perspectives, sharing relevant stories related to their experience with DACA previously, and how the new case is affecting them currently.

The event will be held through a Zoom call hosted on Facebook Live on Thursday, August 20th, 2020. The conversation will be hosted in English at 6:00 pm, followed by a Spanish version at 6:30 pm.

The Hudson County Latino Foundations recently launched an Immigration Assistance Program and is currently pending Accreditation from the USCIS as an agency, once approved, we will be serving only Hudson County residents with their immigration legal service needs.
