Hudson County Sheriff candidate endorses Franco for 1st Ward

On Monday, candidate for Hudson County Sheriff, Adela Rohena, endorsed Peter Franco for 1st Ward city councilman in Bayonne.

In a statement, Rohena mentions she has a lot of respect for Peter Franco. “He has been committed to his community both as an advocate and through his volunteer efforts helping those in need.” “It would be great to see him continue his service as the next Councilman of Bayonne’s 1st Ward.”

Franco said he was honored to have the support of Adela Rohena. “Adela and I share a passion for public service.” “We are both mavericks running against a machine,” said Franco. He goes on to say, he believes the voters have some great choices this November.

Franco, a Democrat says of the endorsement, “I think it shows our message of affordability and fighting for the working-class transcends partisan politics and resonates with everyone.”

Adela Rohena is a Republican running for Hudson County Sheriff against democratic incumbent Frank Schillari.

Peter Franco, a registered Democrat is running in a non-partisan race for 1st Ward City Council against incumbent Neil Carroll, John Cupo, and Paul Hagdorn.
