HUNDREDS OF CONSTITUENTS FROM NEW JERSEY’S 4th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT TO HOLD CITIZENS’ TOWN HALL
Manapalan, NJ – Constituents of New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith (District 4) will hold a Citizens’ Town Hall on Wednesday, February 22 at in Manalapan. The event was scheduled by local constituents and advocacy groups after repeated requests for Congressman Smith to hold an in person Town Hall were denied. Congressman Smith has been invited to attend.
Since November, Rep. Smith has received hundreds of phone calls, emails, letters, and hand-delivered messages requesting a public forum for constituents to ask questions and voice their concerns, with no response from his office. Nearly 1,500 signatures were collected, via an online petition, asking for a meeting: http://bit.ly/2lMwGxh
At the town hall a medical professional will explain potential impact on the healthcare field; the audience will share stories and questions; and a former congressional staffer will explain the recently-released proposal to replace the ACA. The event is open to all District 4 residents.
