IFPTE Local 194 Endorses Gov. Phil Murphy for re-election

On Thursday, October 29, the IFPTE Local 194 Executive Board voted overwhelmingly to endorse Governor Phil Murphy for re-nomination in the Democratic primary and re-election in the General election.

“Governor Murphy is a leader who shares the values of our working families,” said Local 194 President Barry Kushnir. “He has kept his promise for tax fairness in a Millionaire’s Tax, continued to stabilize the state pension system with a series of record investments, and, most importantly, is protecting our essential workers with mandatory COVID-19 safety rules during the coronavirus crisis. Local 194 is proud of Governor Murphy’s extraordinary leadership during an unprecedented crisis and looks forward to working with him for continued progress in a second term.”

IFPTE Local 194, the New Jersey Turnpike Employees’ Union, is a statewide public sector labor organization representing 1,100 working men and women in the Office, Maintenance and Tolls Departments of the New Jersey Turnpike.
