As a Ukrainian American, I am heartbroken by the devastation brought on from the illegal military attacks on Ukrainian civilians by Russian troops. As a labor leader, I stand in solidarity with the working families who are struggling with the impacts of war. Finally, as a human being who believes that war serves no useful purpose, I support a swift and immediate end to Russian aggression.

Local 194 will join freedom loving citizens around the globe to support the struggling citizens of Ukraine. Our labor organization calls upon the government of the United States to provide robust support for the people of Ukraine. Russia must end this illegal war and restore peace in the region
