Independent Candidate Bollentin For LD14 Assembly Campaign Statement

My name is Michael Bollentin. I am a life-long resident of New Jersey. I am married to an amazing woman and the proud father to two outstanding boys. I am currently the wrestling coach at Kreps Middle School and a substitute teacher for the district. I possess a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Network Management. I work full-time in the IT/Security field.  I have spent my life in the service of others. For the last 27 years, I have been an EMT, helping the sick and injured. In 2000, I began down another path of public service, Law Enforcement. After 16 years of service, I had to retire due to becoming medically unable to perform my duties.

I am the Independent candidate for the 14th Legislative District in New Jersey. I think integrity and accountability are sorely lacking in the State House. I want to start bridging the gaps between the two parties, so the State can get back to working for the People, not their parties. Decisions about the State should be based on merit and necessity, not the whims of the political elite. No one is there to hold them accountable for their decisions. A lot of people talk about needing a change in government, but few are willing to BE that change. I have grown tired of the lack of compassion and thoughtfulness I feel is required to govern the state. I do not feel the two parties have the best interest of the citizens of this state in mind when they are making decisions and passing legislation. We need a government that is fiscally transparent and passes purposeful, meaningful legislation.

Please feel free to contact me through my website, www.BollentinforAssembly.vote Thank you for your time and consideration. Don’t forget to vote on November 5th for the people who you feel are going to best represent you and work to really improving this amazing State we call home!

Respectfully,

Michael Bollentin

Candidate for the 14th Legislative District
