Inspira Foundation Welcomes Two New Board Members

Mullica Hill, NJ (May 12, 2021) – Inspira Health Foundation, the fundraising arm of Inspira Health, announces the election of Nikitas Moustakas and Kathleen Schultes to its Board of Trustees. Both Moustakas and Schultes bring a wealth of board experience, including prior service with Inspira.

“We are thrilled to have Nikitas and Kathy back with us,” said Gary Galloway, chair of the Inspira Foundation Board. “Their experience and expertise will only add to the success of our efforts, which support the critically important work of Inspira Health.”

Professionally, Moustakas is the managing partner of Moustakas Nelson, a southern New Jersey-based law firm that specializes in providing counsel for entrepreneurs, startups and established businesses. Moustakas also frequently speaks at seminars regarding health care, corporate law, and succession planning.

In addition to his previous service as vice chair of the Inspira Health Foundation and South Jersey Healthcare Foundation boards, Moustakas has also supported other non-profits, including the American Lung Association and the Hellenic Federation. He currently serves as a town councilman in Mt. Laurel.

Schultes has served on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Gloucester County since 1998. She is a founding member and past Chair of United Way’s Women United, an advocacy group with participants in 165 countries. Schultes is also a co-chair of Mothers Matter in South Jersey. The organization provides essential personal care items and support to women of all ages and from all walks of life who are burdened with personal or family illness, tragedy, or critical quality of life issues.

Schultes affiliation with Inspira dates back to 1976 when she joined the Auxiliary of Underwood-Memorial Hospital. She is currently chair of the Inspira Health Auxiliary – Gloucester County. The Washington Township resident has volunteered her time and talents to the Foundation Board for more than 20 years, including previously serving as Chair.

“Serving as a Foundation trustee requires a serious commitment of time and effort,” said Peter Kaprielyan, chief development officer and vice president of government relations, Inspira Health. “Kathy and Nikitas have demonstrated this commitment in the past, and we are grateful for their eagerness to return to our Board.”

By developing philanthropic opportunities that fund patient programs and services, advance cutting-edge technology, and support facility enhancements, the Foundation and its donors make a positive impact on the health and well-being of community members in the five counties served by Inspira. Last year, the Foundation was responsible for more than $1.2 million in COVID-19 response funding for Inspira. In 2020, the Foundation concluded its most successful capital campaign to date, raising more than $25 million in support of the health system.
