The New Jersey Recreation and Park Association (NJRPA) awarded the Public Service Award to James

Ceremony held at the Summit Family Aquatic Center in Summit, NJ. James Bullard, Piscataway Township Councilman, was present to accept the award.

When you meet Jim Bullard, he leaves a lasting impression on you as he is a dynamic and charismatic
individual. He spends time to get to know you as a person no matter what age you are. He has served as a
Piscataway Township Councilman since 2010 serving the residents of the 2nd Ward. Community and resiliency is what Mr. Bullard is all about. He puts the residents first to ensure they are heard and works diligently to address every matter. He is extremely active as a Piscataway Community Television Volunteer, Assistant Commissioner of Babe Ruth Baseball for which he was inducted into the Mid-Atlantic Region Hall of Fame.

His many other duties include Chairperson of the Recreation Advisory Commission and Past President
of the Piscataway Little League, Jim is also extremely active in the Piscataway Township Senior Center and advocating for the needs of older Americans. He serves as the Vice-Chair of the Office of Aging and Disabled Services Advisory Council. He also serves as a representative for the Advisory Council when State Aging Advisory Council Regional meetings are held. Councilman Bullard has been the volunteer of the year for Piscataway Township, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Volunteer Leadership, and the Piscataway Community Television (9 times).

Lastly Jim was recognized for the work he does for New Jersey seniors at a state Awards Ceremony a
few years ago. This dedication and volunteerism is truly amazing. What is more amazing is that Jim Bullard is the recipient of a heart transplant. This is what motivated him to become more involved in the community and led him to become President of the Hahnemann University Second Chance Chapter and the Chairperson of the Second Chance Heart Transplant Support Group. In his spare time which cannot be much, Mr Bullard is an award winning photographer.
