Jefferson Washington Township Hospital Receives Donation of Sleepea Swaddles for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Turnersville, NJ, May 7, 2021 – Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital has received a donated supply of Sleepea® swaddles from California-based Happiest Baby, Inc., which, in 2020 and 2019, donated several SNOO bassinets to the hospital. The SNOO bassinet – a combination rocker-white noise machine – is programmed to respond when a baby cries, also swaddles babies so they can’t roll on their sides, preventing factors associated with Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). SNOO bassinets and now Sleepea swaddles – known as a “five-second swaddle” – have also been donated to Jefferson’s other baby-delivering hospitals: Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and Abington Hospital – Jefferson Health. The 100% organic cotton Sleepea is an award-winning baby swaddle, to be used outside the SNOO bassinet.
