John Bartlett Releases Second Ad in Democratic Primary for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District

WAYNE, NJ – In the Democratic primary special election for Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill’s 11th District Congressional seat, John Bartlett has released his second ad. Titled “My Husband,” the spot is part of a six-figure investment in digital advertising in connection with the February 5, 2026 Special Democratic Primary Election.
In the 30-second ad Bartlett’s wife, Dr. Khyati Joshi, who is Indian American, highlights how John is different from other New Jersey politicians, demonstrated by his long career standing up to Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans to protect voting rights and prevent cuts targeting public healthcare workers.
“My husband John has spent his career working to help our communities,” said Joshi. “I know he will continue to fight for all of us in Congress.”
“Through thick and thin, Khyati is my most trusted advisor and the true north of my moral compass,” said Bartlett. “When I talk about putting public service over self-service, I think of her, and I am grateful to have her by my side every day in this campaign.”
Script:
Joshi: Jersey has enough politicians who put self service over public service.
Only looking out for themselves
We know the stories. I’m tired of them, I know you are too.
John’s different.
He defeated Trump in the Supreme Court to protect immigrants,
Protected public health workers from RFK Jr.’s cuts,
And defeated the Republican party in court to protect our right to vote.
Believe me when I tell you he’s someone North Jersey can count on.
And I’d say that even if he weren’t my husband.
About John Bartlett
John Bartlett is running for Congress to put public service over self-service by making life more affordable for New Jersey families, and defending democracy from Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans. John has been fighting and winning these fights for years, beating Donald Trump and Republicans in court to protect vulnerable Americans and our right to vote. As a Passaic County Commissioner, John has a proven record protecting affordability: nine straight years of lowering the property tax rate and balancing budgets while improving services, building new parks and public schools, and bringing more than $960 million in federal transportation funding into the 11th District to grow our region’s economy and make commutes safer and easier. John learned a lifelong dedication to service from his father, a country pediatrician, and he is ready to bring this fight for our shared values to Washington.
A graduate of Brown University and Harvard Law School who also studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a Raoul Wallenberg Scholar, he lives in Wayne with his wife, Dr. Khyati Joshi, and their college-age son.
