Carol Katz and Adam Guziejewski of Katz Government Affairs, LLC, a professional lobbying firm based in Trenton, NJ, announced that Laura Gunn has joined the firm effective May 2, 2022. Ms. Gunn joins Katz Government Affairs after four years with New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, where she most recently served as Vice President of Government Affairs.

“It’s an exciting time for KGA as we continue to grow by welcoming Laura on board,” said Katz. “We are fortunate that Laura has chosen to contribute her expertise and her years of Trenton experience to further KGA’s commitment to client service and effective advocacy.”

“I am delighted and honored to join the Katz Government Affairs team,” Gunn said. “I believe my years of experience working in different capacities as a state employee, coupled with the last four years advocating for New Jersey’s business community, will help me to be an effective voice for the clients of Katz Government Affairs.”

I worked with her when she was legislative liaison at Motor Vehicles, and I now see her all the time in Trenton advocating for the business community,” said Senate Republican Leader Steve Oroho (R24). “I look forward to working with her as she joins the Katz Government Affairs team.”

Before joining the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce in 2018, Gunn was a legislative liaison for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, overseeing the Office of Intergovernmental Relations, and interacting with legislative offices on casework and legislation related to the Commission. Prior to her time with MVC, Laura served as legislative director and chief of staff for former Assemblywoman Donna Simon; and before that as an aide in Gov. Christie’s Office of Constituent Relations. Laura is a graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey where she earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and political science.
