KEAN FEDERATION OF TEACHERS EXECUTIVE COUNCIL ENDORSES CRYAN FOR SENATE
UNION TOWNSHIP – State Senator Joseph Cryan has received another significant endorsement in his campaign for re-election. Kean University Federation of Teachers AFT, Local 2187 President James Castiglione announced that his union’s Executive Council has voted to endorse Cryan in advance of June 8th’s Primary election.
“Senator Cryan has been a fierce advocate for the education community and, specifically, the importance of a quality, affordable higher education,” said Castiglione. “He has proven himself to be a true leader in the fight to secure education funding while also working to improve access to higher education for children and families everywhere. Senator Cryan is a steadfast ally of labor unions, including the KFT and other higher education unions representing everyone from faculty to groundskeepers, who has been there for us and our students every step of the way. The Senator has the full support of our members because we know that if he says he is going to do something then we can count on it getting done, and that is the definition of a leader.”
