Statement From LD33 NJ State Senatorial Candidate David Winkler

Throughout the 2016 through to the 2020 election cycle we saw Hudson County Democrats & Progressives fight over Abolishing & Defunding ICE, accusing the President of locking up children, calling for comprehensive immigration reform but once again no real tangible solutions for the issues we face here within Hudson County.

I as the LD 33 (R) State Senatorial Candidate David Winkler vow to fix the broken immigration system here in Hudson County NJ. I represent the ideals from the Party of Lincoln & Abolitionists as a minority conservative. We must take care of our immigrant community by relentlessly perusing real pathways to citizenship not by providing temporary band-aids.

The current Democrat policies have left many of our immigrants stuck in limbo while having to illegally work with salaries paid in cash under the table that are direct violations of NJ State Labor Laws. The New Jersey AG Gurbir Grewal’s Immigrant Trust Directive stops federal law enforcement from cracking down on public corruption, trafficking, & manipulation of our community by some of our politicians but paints Federal Enforcement as the issue rather than the legislators who are responsible for the laws that got us here in the first place.

New Jersey AG Gurbir Grewal’s sanctuary stance has opened the door for political corruption & abuse by Sen Brian Stack who forces immigrants to canvass, pay for his fundraising events, & was even accused of sexually assaulting a Hispanic female pastor in her own church in 2019. Sen. Brian Stack uses his civic association to pay the rent & utilities of immigrants regardless of status documented or undocumented. This isn’t a kind gesture, this is a sign of a an abusive political relationship preying on the vulnerability of the people in exchange for votes.

This changes when elected in 2021 to NJ State Senate where my priority is to expedite Visas, Green Cards, & Naturalizations for the families in need here so they can legally participate within the economy & prosper. I vow to fix the broken immigration system here in Hudson County NJ. I represent the ideals from the Party of Lincoln & Abolitionists as a minority conservative. We must take care of our immigrant community by relentlessly perusing real pathways to citizenship not by providing temporary band-aids.

To start my team will be holding several citizenship drives with Pro-bono legal resources & information to access the individual families concerns & help them achieve the true American Dream.
