| Participants in the New Jersey State AFL-CIO’s 25th Annual Labor Candidates School concluded their first day on Saturday, August 14, 2021, with a greater sense of how to connect with voters and how to listen and adapt.
The participants, representing and supported by their unions in every sector of labor, were instructed and mentored by fellow union members and other experts.
U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., D-6th District, used his experience and expertise to aid dozens of union brothers and sisters as they improved their public speaking and campaigning skills. Honest and positive critiques of speeches and simulated interactions with voters continued to energize the New Jersey men and women considering a run for public office.
