LD4 GOP Assembly Candidate Denise Gonzalez: LD4 Incumbents Mosquera and Moriarty Hold Titles for Most Missed Votes in Legislature
LD4 Incumbents Mosquera and Moriarty Hold Titles for Most Missed Votes in Legislature
Both of my incumbents, Gabriela Mosquera (D) and Paul Moriarity (D) of Legislative District 4, are not fit to be members of the legislature given their horrendous missed voting track record on bills that hit the floor during the current legislative session. Out of the entire legislative body, Mosquera has gained the infamous title in first place having the most missed votes – totaling at a whopping 564. Moriarity sits closely by, ranking in sixth place with an inexcusable 267 missed votes. These numbers are completely deplorable, considering that voting on bills is a focal action assembly members are paid -with tax dollars- to execute.
Assembly members Mosquera and Moriarty do not serve their constituents. The citizens of LD4 need equitable and effective representation in Trenton. Clearly, the Democrat incumbents are not performing the jobs that taxpayers have relied on them to commit to. Both candidates owe it to their constituents to refund their salaries and stipends.
In times of difficulty, Mosquera and Moriarity have been M.I.A. and are topping the list of missed votes. The residents of LD4 deserve better. As a Marine, it was always my duty to work diligently on every task at hand until the mission was accomplished. Now, as I did back then, I will continue to fight for you and ensure that your voice is heard and counted with every vote I cast in Trenton. Elections have consequences. Vote accordingly beginning this Saturday until November 2nd.
