TRENTON – The following is a statement from Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, on today’s announcement of an offshore wind manufacturing facility at the Paulsboro Marine Terminal in Gloucester County.
“Expanding our clean energy sector must be a core component of a post-COVID sustainable green jobs recovery, and today’s announcement of a $250 million investment in a wind manufacturing facility is a major step forward that clearly showcases New Jersey’s leadership in building our economy for the 21st century,” said Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters. “We applaud Governor Murphy, Senate President Sweeney, and our legislators on creating the largest investment in offshore wind manufacturing in the U.S. to date. It will help us address the climate crisis and create thousands of good-middle class jobs that can’t be outsourced. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
