The legislation passed the committee and is scheduled to be heard on both Assembly and Senate for a full floor vote on December 16th.

TRENTON — The Let’s Drive NJ campaign applauds the release of S3229 from the Senate Transportation Committee. As the bill moves forward to floor votes, advocates emphasize the human impact the passage of this legislation would have on hundreds of thousands of residents in New Jersey. New Jerseyans from all walks of life are impacted. From the testimonies heard today, its clear that New Jersey residents support allowing more residents regardless of their immigration status the opportunity to apply for a driver’s license.
