Lindabury Welcomes Judge Katherine Dupuis as
Partner in Alternative Dispute Resolution Group

Westfield, NJ, July 31, 2020: The law firm of Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, P.C., announced that Honorable Katherine Dupuis (Ret.) has joined the firm as a partner in its Alternative Dispute Resolution group.

Judge Dupuis concentrates her practice on mediation and arbitration with a focus on commercial disputes, probate mediation and divorce mediation. She was formerly the Presiding Judge of the Chancery, Probate and Family Divisions of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Union County.

After beginning her career as a federal law clerk in the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, Katherine Dupuis served as an assistant county prosecutor in Union County. First appointed to the bench in 1993, she was assigned to all divisions. She has handled stockholder derivative suits, will contests, challenges to transfer of assets, real estate disputes and business valuations. Judge Dupuis has also dealt with many disputes arising from divorce litigation including determining what assets are part of the matrimonial estate, the value of those assets, alimony and child support.

Judge Dupuis was honored with the William McCloud Award in recognition of her outstanding commitment to the Family Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. She served as a member of the Presiding Judge Committee in both the Family and Chancery Division and as chair of the Judicial Education Committee for the Family Part.

A member of the Richard Hughes Inn of Court, the Union County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar, Judge Dupuis is also an active member of the Family, Alternate Dispute Resolution and LGBT Sections of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is a frequent presenter at the New Jersey Judicial College, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Union County Bar Association and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
