“The fight for the right to life is the first and most fundamental right that government must protect,” Lonegan said.  “As your congressman, I will fight for life every chance I get.”

In 2007, Lonegan led the fight to defeat Governor Jon Corzine’s embryonic stem cell bond referendum which would have indebted New Jerseyeans over $450 million for a morally-bereft scheme to fund unproven research on defenseless human life.

“They said that our fight to defeat embryonic stem cell research couldn’t be won,” Lonegan said.  “But we did win, we will win again, and we won’t stop winning until every human life is protected from conception until natural death.”

Lonegan also pledged to co-sponsor the Pain Capable Child Protection Act in Congress.

“The House has already passed this bill but the Senate has not acted,” Lonegan said.  “The President is committed to signing the bill and I will do everything I can to get it to his desk.”
