LPGA Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan will speak to hundreds of people attending the New Jersey Women Business Leaders Forum on Sept. 28-29 during a TED-style Talk presentation on the final day of the conference.
The 8th Annual New Jersey Women Business Leaders Forum, powered by NJBIA, is the state’s largest professional women’s conference. This year, it takes place at Caesars in Atlantic City, where more than 450 corporate and nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, business professionals and students will gather to be inspired and empowered to build successful businesses and increase diversity in corporate leadership. Marcoux Samaan’s journey to the LPGA started at Princeton University, where she was a two-sport varsity athlete in soccer and ice hockey before graduating cum laude in 1991. After a 19-year career as an executive with Chelsea Piers Management, which owns and operates two world-class amateur sports complexes, Marcoux Samaan returned to Princeton University as its athletic director in 2014. During her tenure, she developed and executed a five-year strategic plan that included Princeton Tiger Performance, a unique holistic athletic performance initiative, and the design/development of over $200 million in facility renovations and new construction. Princeton University teams won a league-leading 65 Ivy League championships under her leadership and finished as high as 30th in the prestigious Learfield IMG Cup standings, which measures overall success of all Division I Athletics. A passionate lifelong golfer, Marcoux Samaan brings the same long-term strategic thinking to the LPGA, the world’s oldest independent professional women’s sports league. Since becoming commissioner in 2021, she has worked collaboratively with corporate partners, and purses have continued to rise on the LPGA Tour under her leadership with more than $95 million in total purses and events in 11 countries. Today, Marcoux Samaan has emerged as a leader for all women’s sports, speaking out on issues related to equality and inclusion.
