LUPE PAC ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENTS FOR 2019 GENERAL ELECTION
Trenton, NJ – November 5, 2019 — LUPE PAC President Laura Matos has announced the following endorsements of Latinas running for office in today’s election: Asw. Annette Chaparro; Asw. Angelica Jiminez; Asw. Yvonne Lopez; Asw. Gabriella Mosquera; Asw. Eliana Pintor Marin; Asw. Annette Quijano; and Morris County Freeholder candidate Cary Amaro.
“We are proud and honored to support these strong, competent Latinas running for office, many of whom are seeking re-election,” said Matos. “They embody our mission as progressive leaders, giving a voice to the Latino community and serving as fierce advocates for our critically important issues at decision-making tables throughout our state.”
Those critical issues, according to Matos, include a woman’s reproductive rights, affordable healthcare, a living wage, humane immigration policy, crime-free neighborhoods, and access to education.
“With so many Latinas on the ballot, we are meeting our goal of protecting incumbents, while continuing to build the bench by training, mentoring, and supporting first-time candidates.”
