Mayor Amatorio and Borough Council Urge Residents to Get COVID-19 Vaccination as Bergenfield Aims for Herd Immunity
Bergenfield has increased vaccination opportunities by partnering with Holy Name Medical Center to offer walk-in vaccination clinics
BERGENFIELD, NJ — As Bergenfield continues to make progress towards its goal of herd immunity, Mayor Amatorio and the Borough Council are asking residents to take advantage of the multitude of COVID-19 vaccination options that residents have.
The Borough has increased the number of walk-in vaccination opportunities by partnering with Holy Name Medical Center for vaccination clinics. Bergenfield has already vaccinated 84% of residents 65 and older and 51% of residents 18 and older.
“Bergenfield is making tremendous progress in our quest to vaccinate as many residents as we possibly can,” said Mayor Amatorio. “Our best defense against this virus is the vaccine which is both safe and extremely effective. Please help us get to herd immunity by this summer by registering to be vaccinated today.”

Holy Name Medical Center will be administering Pfizer vaccinations. Any vaccine administered by Holy Name Medical Center staff will have documentation done by them. Dr. Nancy Rothenberg, will be available to monitor children post vaccination.
The Bergenfield Health Department will administer the Moderna vaccine.
