MAYOR SAYEGH CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF BODY CAMERA FOOTAGE

PATERSON, NJ – March 8, 2023, Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh calls for the immediate release of the body camera footage from the police-involved shooting on Friday, March 3, 2023.

“When I became Mayor not a single police officer wore a body camera in Paterson. Now, every single police officer in Paterson wears one. And my insistence on equipping our officers with body cameras was before it became mandated. I was adamant about body cameras because of the need for accountability, transparency, and the truth. We want the truth and that’s why I am asking for the immediate release of the body camera footage of this tragic incident.” – Mayor Andre Sayegh, City of Paterson
